To use shampoo effectively, start by thoroughly wetting your hair with warm water, which helps open the hair cuticles and remove surface dirt. Next, pour a small amount of shampoo about a quarter-sized amount for medium-length hair into your palm and rub your hands together to distribute it evenly. Gently massage the shampoo into your scalp using your fingertips, focusing on the roots where oil and dirt tend to build up, while the ends of your hair will get cleaned as you rinse. Finally, rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water, ensuring all shampoo is removed, as leaving any residue can lead to dryness or buildup.
