Omégaline® is designed to support beauty and skin health from within, providing a high concentration of borage seed oil standardized for gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). It is also a source of vitamin E, which helps protect cells from oxidative stress.*

Modern diets often create an imbalance in fat intake, with excessive saturated fats and insufficient beneficial polyunsaturated fats. This can disrupt the balance of prostaglandins PGE1 and PGE2, which are important for healthy, radiant skin. While PGE2 is often produced in excess due to high consumption of red meat and dairy, the body may lack PGE1, which is derived from certain plant-based unsaturated fatty acids. Additionally, factors like stress, enzyme deficiencies, and nutrient shortages reduce the body’s ability to produce PGE1 as we age.

Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), a polyunsaturated fatty acid crucial for skin health, becomes increasingly difficult for the body to synthesize after age 35 due to decreased activity of the delta-6-desaturase enzyme.
